Imagined by Matt Salganik, a Professor of Sociology at Princeton University, Open Review Toolkit is an innovative approach to writing books and manuscripts, increasing sales while making knowledge freely available. The objective was to make manuscripts available for “open review,” where peers could provide feedback directly to the author(s).
Crowd-sourced feedback
It needed a clean, device-accessible interface that was conducive to consuming content and providing annotation/commentary. The project needed to be fully responsive and repeatable so that others in academia could easily place their manuscripts in open review.
