Parkside Church, a large church led by Alistair Begg near Cleveland, OH, had separate desktop and mobile sites and wanted to move into the era of responsive design. We met and thought through an experience journey map to determine which current pieces worked and which still needed improvement. With a “mobile first” approach, we were able to refactor the existing mobile site into a fully responsive site which has inspired greater engagement and more effective communication between the leadership and the congregation.
Navigating the sea... of links
Being a large church with multiple branches of ministry and leadership, the navigation from the old site had become cumbersome and needed to be reorganized. We mapped out the various pages and sub-sites, grouped them into meaningful hierarchies, and utilized audience personas to design the navigation around the user’s needs. The result was a much simpler navigation system with a much more intuitive information architecture.
